Tour de Pants: Bike Tour & Festival ~ Loveland
Fun ThingsMay 7, 2016
Location: See Website

This free event is sponsored by the Loveland Historic Preservation Commission. Residents are once again invited to get a little exercise while learning about local history. The Tour de Pants—an organized bike tour through Loveland that explores and highlights Loveland’s past—this year’s route will highlight historic buildings and how they have been repurposed for modern day use.

The event will start at 8:00am at the Milner-Schwarz House featuring the new Garden Railroad. Historians Jeff and Cindy Feneis will lead the bike tour featuring historic buildings. The bike tour will end at the Feed & Grain where the festival will begin.

The historic preservation festival and People’s Market begins at 10:00am in front of ArtSpace and the Feed & Grain building off East 3rd Street. There, attendees will enjoy food, games (including a frozen pants contest), Loveland history, preservation workshops and more. The festival will be a joint event with The People’s Market – a gathering of artisans, from herbalists to jewelry makers, to food artists to textiles. The mission is to support and encourage sustainability and promote our local farmers. You will have the opportunity to see live art, street performers, and amazing handmade goods. A student art/architecture project will be on display in the ArtSpace Gallery as well as Mariano Medina’s breeches!

Front Range Rally ~ Loveland
May 28, 2016
Location: Loveland Food Share

The Front Range Rally is a festival celebrating Colorado’s rich culture of craft brewing and the emergence of a growing cadre of quality mobile food vendors. The two certainly go hand-in-hand and are a logical choice to support the work of Food Bank for Larimer County.

In 2015, 63 craft breweries and 13 food vendors served up an amazing array of unique food and 169 unique beers. If you were there, you know what a blast it was. We’ll be working to make it even better for 2016.

One hundred percent of the net proceeds from the festival go directly to Food Bank for Larimer County. Staffed by 39 employees and supported by 2,762 volunteers, the Food Bank for Larimer County distributed 8.9 million pounds of food in 2015 to low-income residents throughout Larimer County. Front Range Rally is proud to be part of their mission. You can find more information about them at

Plan to join us on Saturday May 28, 2016 at the LOVELAND FOOD SHARE, 2600 N. Lincoln, Loveland, CO for an afternoon of food, beer, music, fun and community.

Duck Race & Festival ~ Estes Park
Fun ThingsApril 1, 2016
Time: Entertainment starts at 11am; the Duck Drop is at 1 pm at Nicky's Restaurant
Location: Nicky's Resort & Downtown Estes Park

Ten. Nine. Eight. Seven...And then, with a drop from a giant bucket, thousands of little yellow rubber ducks are ceremoniously dropped into Fall River at Nicky's Resort where they begin their journey to Riverside Plaza in downtown Estes Park. The ducks are scooped out of the water one-by-one by waiting volunteers. It's all part of the benefit Estes Park Duck Race.

Hundreds of visitors have learned how simple the Duck Race is. You "adopt" little rubber duckies and select one of nearly 70 different Estes Valley charities to benefit from your adoptions. These charities will receive 95% of the money collected from adoptions. The more ducks adopted for a particular charity, the more money that individual charity receives.

But that's not all! Due to the amazing generosity of major sponsors and local area merchants, there are prizes galore for hundreds of entries. If your little ducky is one of the lucky winners as it crosses the finish line, you might win a prize. It's a fun family outing with lots of music and entertainment as well.

Race festivities get underway at Nicky's Resort at 11 a.m. on race day. Ducks go into the water at 1 p.m. and activities continue in Riverside Plaza until the last duck swims past the finish line.

As a bonus for the Duck Race Festival weekend, merchants in downtown Estes Park set up tables outside their businesses for the annual spring sidewalk sale.
